How to make Facebook pictures larger?

Veiwing larger version of pictures on facebook is pretty easy. First, you need to select the picture that you want to see at full size. Right click and select "copy image location", then open a new browser window and paste the location of that picture into the location bar. You will see the name of the picture with an "s" in the name of the picture. It will look somethign like this... “……/S356475.jpg”. Just replace the "s" with the letter "n" and you will see the picture at full size.

How to make facebook pictures smaller?

There are several commands in the facebook quertystrings that control images. You can make a large image smaller by using the letters t or q in the photo name.

Boost Firefox Add-On

There is a cool plug-in for firefox that will do the image resizing for you. It is called Boost. It does a lot more than resize images, but we'll cover that in a later topic. Download the Boost Add-on and install it. Rememeber, this just works with the firefox browser. Once you have the plugin installed, you can roll over images to see them in full size. This plugin will also let you view all photos of a user and a few more cool features we'll cover later.

Viewing images on a private Facebook Account

First you have to find the person whose pics you want to see. Search for the person's name and when you find them, right click on the send message button and select open in new window. You don't want to send a message, you are looking for their ID number. In the new window you just opened, look in the address bar at the top, the person's ID number will be tagged at the end. It will look something like this.... http://www.facebook.com/inbox/?compose&id=123456789 Copy the number after the ID= in the string, that is their ID number. Next step to viewing private images on Facebook

Now that you have the ID number of the private account images you need to add that into the images address of the browser. Whyen viewing images of people on facebook, most of the url's are the same, except their ID number is tagged in. It will look something like this... http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1234567&id=[Person’s ID]&op=1&view=all&subj=[Person’s ID]
